Support structure without being stifling. Balance of lifestyle seeing more of my children and they can be involved in my work. New opportunity so, there is some ability to help mould the direction of the business i.e. sharing of best practice.

When they experience the classes they love it. Very few drop out from one term to the next.

Why you chose to buy into a franchise?
As a professional I always took a real sense of ownership in all aspects of my work, but the reality was that I never really owned the business and this became my ultimate goal. I feel the time is now right to use the skills I have built over the years to own my own destiny and do something I truly believe in.  Buying a franchise gives me the best of both worlds, a proven business model supported by experts at head office and the freedom of being my own boss

Why did you choose ComputerXplorers?
I was impressed by the ComputerXplorers concept and wish that something as innovative and fun had been around when I was at school! I already had passion for technology out with my professional life and having 2 kids of my own it has allowed me to kick-start their knowledge of ICT and prepare them for the future. Technology is so central to everything we do, yet many schools are under- resourced in this area due to the shortage of IT teachers and limited budgets.

What has been the response of customers (schools, parents, children)?
My recommendation is to speak to as many existing Franchisees especially those nearby your location if possible to get a better understanding of business at the coal face. I would also suggest speaking to your local schools to understand both infrastructure and opportunity within your target area.

Why you chose to buy into a franchise?
Having been made redundant I took the opportunity to invest in my own business, as I have always wanted to have a business of my own rather than work for others.

Why did you choose ComputerXplorers?
With my knowledge of IT and Computers, and my own child just starting school I was very interested in how ICT was delivered to school children and the Management Team were very helpful and honest from the first enquiry through to the day I signed the agreement.

What has been the response of customers (schools, parents, children)?
Schools are very receptive to the products and as we keep delivering new exciting sessions the children are always enthusiastic about what we deliver. Parents have told me that their children can’t wait to go to school on ComputerXplorers club day even if they don’t feel 100%.

Why you chose to buy into a franchise?
I decided to buy a franchise business because of the many advantages - the business model has already been tested and proven, the time to get the business up and running is much quicker, there is great training and support, and also a network of fellow franchisees sharing knowledge and experience.

Why did you choose ComputerXplorers?
After deciding to look at franchises, I attended a Nat West franchise seminar which show- cased a variety of franchises across different industries. I had already decided that I wanted a home-based business and ComputerXplorers was ideal – not only was it home-based, but it sounded like an excellent franchise, relatively new to the UK but well established in the US. ComputerXplorers was the only franchise I investigated further – I discovered that I would be joining at the latter stages of the pilot phase in the UK. I was also delighted to learn that there is no direct competition in the UK and was extremely reassured knowing that the franchise is run in the UK by Nigel Toplis, who has very significant knowledge and experience of the franchise industry, and who is supported by a great team.

What has been the response of customers (schools, parents, children)?
If you have general business experience, you believe you will be able to stay focused in a home environment and enjoy working with children, this franchise is an absolute must. The training and support provided have filled in the product, sales, marketing, teaching and other gaps I had and the general support and documentation available is fantastic. As a way to start your own business, a ComputerXplorers franchise makes it as easy as possible for you to succeed.
