Every session is hands-on, so the learning comes from building rather than being told.
Children pick up the basics of engineering and design thinking, and see how robots use instructions, sensors and movement to do their job. Where it fits the activity, they add coding and sequencing to control what their robot does. They practise problem-solving by testing a design, spotting what is not working and improving it, often alongside other children, which brings in teamwork, creativity and a fair amount of friendly experimentation.
Underneath the fun, they are building real STEM skills that connect to computing, science, technology and engineering. Tools are matched to age and stage, from LEGO Education for younger builders through to micro:bit, Arduino and sensors as children take on more.
